delegation joined in the gathering place for other Republicans arrived in the province of Huesca, Huesca Republican Circle and Robres, associations, organizations, MER (Memory Republican Spain) Amicale of the guerrillas and various French regional authorities and supported by many Republican organizations and the recovery of historical memory of much of the geography of northern Spain, particularly Catalonia.
The events began with a parade of all the Republican delegations that involved some five hundred people with banners and flags in the streets of Montauban to the square dedicated to Manuel Azana that exists in the locality.
There, after welcoming remarks by José González, president of SRM, addressed the ex-mayor of the town, driver of the dedication of the plaza to the former English leader honored to acknowledge the presence of all attendees the organized events.
From there came the procession to the cemetery where the remains of Azaña which she was paid a tribute of poetry, music and flowers with the seriousness and sobriety that characterized the French official events.
Host organizations and invited officials spoke at a succession of samples of remembrance and respect both Azaña figure to all players as an exile who still lacks the recognition it deserves by successive governments English democracy. For a few minutes
